The fixtures for the coming season have been released, and the Rams' first game on Saturday 16th August is at home to Met Police, followed by two away trips the following week.- a long trip to Whitstable on Tuesday night and a sunny away day to Eastbourne on the Saturday. Player News!
On the eve of the first friendly of the new season, Croydon Athletic announced tonight three more signings. 18 year old goalkeeper Jack Smelt joins us after having played in the Colchester United youth team last season. Jack is an excellent keeper and is an exciting prospect for the Rams between the sticks. Talented midfield/striker Sam Clayton returns to the Rams having come through the youthy set-up a few years back. Sam had an impressive season for Whyteleafe last year, and we are pleased to welcome him back. Midfielder Gary Mabbutt played a few games for the Rams last season, most notably his man-of-the-match performance against Horsham YMCA in the 3-0 victory in April, and Gary has committed his future to the Club for the forseeable future.. The Rams are delighted to welcome these players and look forward to seeing them notching up some match-winning performances in 2008/09! |

"We are looking for promotion this season"
Mazhar Majeed was officially welcomed today as the major shareholder at Croydon Athletic, where he will work alongside co-owner Roy Price and chairman Dean Fisher to take the Club forward. At the press conference held today at the Club, Mazhar laid out his ideas for the Rams. "I want to take this Club as far as I can. We are definitely looking for promotion this season".
